Private Island Review for La Isla Del Nido

Private Island Review for La Isla Del Nido
CLOSURE SIGN at Malapacao Private island
Closed Malapacao Island Health Foundation, Leeann Cruz

An interesting phenomenon in the South China Sea, Bacuit Bay near El Nido in The Philippines. Malapacao Private Island seems to have disappeared and La Isla Del Nido Private Island has taken its place. Same owner, same management and the same programs. Having spent a couple of months at these premises I think it is important to review La Isla Del Nido Private Island so that the somewhat dubious reviews that Malapacao Private Island has received over the last few years are not heeded  by potential travelers due to a confusion in name.

Freelance: Oops Artistic Difference Or A Bad Connection

I am still a newbie at freelance work, mostly writing but also web related tasks like content managing and editing. So when I landed an ongoing role as an editorial assistant I was ecstatic it is a totally different life you lead when you don’t know where the next dollar is coming from and this represented a modicum of security – or at least a small one.

Freelance: Working in the dark

I promise I will never take electricity for granted again! A month into working as a freelance writer and I have secured a position as an Editorial Assistant for a website. This is great because it’s work I like, ongoing with capacity for more hours and paying a reasonable rate; now to impress my new boss to keep it. I was actually  surprised that I was a little nervous on the first day at the job. You know what it’s like you want to make a good first impression, well presented (though I didn’t bother to get dressed – too hot!) , on time and a good understanding of what is expected. I prepared myself and logged on – or at least tried to and that’s where it all started to go downhill,  the wonderful world of The Philippines tested my patience and conspired to make me look like a real dill on the first day.

Dear Leeann Cruz – Money DOES NOT replace people’s human rights!

Dear Leeann Cruz…Just when I think your behaviour has reached the absolute depths of depravity I hear of a new violation of human rights that you Leeann Cruz has perpetrated – this time I have heard that you have yet again taken advantage of the group of people you claim to assist, your staff and thus the local fishing community on Malapacao Private Island. Shame on you!
